    Intel India Pvt Ltd

    Intel India pays details to employee welfare. HIV/AIDS awareness program is also one such program that has been integrated with the employee welfare measures of the company.

    Sensitization of employees:

    Several initiatives have been taken up by the company to spread awareness on HIV/AIDS for not only its own employees but also community around. Some of them include: Road shows in cafeterias were organised for one week where slides were shown with regards to signs and symptoms and various measures of prevention and treatment.

    Intel observes World Aids Day; Ribbons are distributed as symbol to mark the solidarity for the cause on 1st and 2nd December across all 2500 employees.

    Talk shows were organised where Dr Satish from Manipal hospital came and visited different campuses of Intel Bangalore and spoke on preventive measures.

    Reaching Community:

    Intel India took the measure to the community where general medical screening camp was conducted in collaboration with Manipal Hospital and assisted by Intel Community volunteers. There was a dual purpose behind this initiative.

    • To help reach out to those who cannot afford proper medical aid.
    • To create awareness on HIV prevention.

    All the Information Education and Communication material were distributed and a team of students from Govt High School, Hanumanthnagar, Bangalore teamed up with the Intel volunteers and put up skits on HIV/AIDS prevention in the local language.

    Through this effort Intel reached to 600+ villagers including 400 village women of Mandya district. 600 villagers were given free medical check up and medicines.
