"Frequently Asked Questions on HIV/AIDS" & "My Right to Live: A Film"

One of the most important strategies to fight HIV/AIDS is through effective communication. This is especially relevant in context of prevention, care and support as well as stigma reduction.
Information, Education and Communication (IEC) is a process that informs, motivates and helps people to adopt and maintain healthy practices and life skills. It enables changing mindsets.
CII and Indian Business Trust for HIV/AIDS (IBT) have developed a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) booklets, which can be distributed to all employees by the companies. The FAQs deal with information on Basics of HIV/AIDS clarifies myths and misconceptions surrounding the epidemic as well as gives golden rules to be followed for keeping a healthy and leading a useful life for people who are HIV+.
The booklets are developed in English and Hindi and are priced at Rs 15/- each.
CII/IBT has also developed a 15-minute film: My Right to Live. The film is humane in treatment, bringing out issues through personal stories, of those living with HIV/AIDS and focuses on the leadership shown by some of our companies by setting up for counseling, testing, treatment Corporate ART centres that CII is facilitating.
